Our Junior Learning Programs have been specially devised to ensure the best outcomes for children’s learning and development aged two – five years. Reflecting a Reggio Emilia approach, our Junior Programs encourage children to explore, question and interpret their environments where children are viewed as capable learners who construct their own learning. The educators at Junior Einsteins support children within their play to guide and facilitate exploration and project work.
At Junior Einsteins, we recognise the significant impact social, emotional, and physical wellbeing has on a child’s learning and development. Understanding this, we have worked alongside various early childhood professionals to create our ‘Junior Wellness Program’ which consists of the ideologies featured in the PALS program and the ‘Munch & Move’ program. Here, educators will implement our wellness program through the daily participation in caring for our garden & using the produce to prepare and cook our nutritional lunches, work in small groups & individually to explore emotions and ways to cope with them, as well as daily physical movement & exercises to keep the body and mind active.
The holistic approach of the Junior Wellness Program advocates the enrichment for children to develop coping mechanisms within their world, confidence within themselves and their community as well as supporting them to develop into capable and knowledgeable citizens.
Our linguistics program is developed in consultation with ELLA, an Australian Government incentive to support children to build culturally appropriate connections with their world. Delivered through rich and meaningful digital experiences, the Junior Linguistic Programs supports children to connect with other cultures as well as build upon their cultural competence. The effective delivery of this program endorses verbal communication as well as developing children’s problem-solving skills, creativity, mathematical development, and reasoning skills.
At Junior Einsteins, we have developed a Junior Vet-Care Program that sees the children learn how to care for and respect animals including, fish, birds and dogs. Engaging children in this program determines various emotional, physical, social and cognitive benefits for children. Our centre pets provide endless experiences and learning opportunities that are integrated into our daily routines and programs. Through our Junior Vet-Care Program, children build upon their nurturing and caring attitude as they are responsible to care for each pets individual needs inclusive of playing, feeding, training, and cleaning our pets & their homes. In addition, having animals within the centre has created a calm and settling environment for children to engage in.
At Junior Einsteins, we believe that we need to teach and support the children to become advocates for our world. We achieve this by engaging the educators and children in sustainable practices that will support the life of our planet. Within this aspect of our program, children are taught to use effective recycling, build upon their own compost and worm garden as well as water conservations. We also have access to vegetable gardens where we harvest our own vegetables for meals.
With support from local schools, our Junior Kinder Program has been specially designed by our Early Childhood Teachers to support each child with the social, emotional, and cognitive skills needed for a positive transition into primary school. Within this program, children are encouraged to develop their early literacy and numeracy skills, name writing and recognition, self-help skills and more. At Junior Einsteins, we understand that each child’s transition to school is individualised. Within our Junior Kinder Program, educators will liaise with your child’s local schools to ensure that not only the children are ready for school, but the school understands your child’s individual needs.
We believe that music is an integral part of children’s development. The Mini Musicians program supports children to develop their creativity through song, music and dance. Within this program, the children are exposed to a variety of different art forms and gain an understanding of how music can support children’s learning and development. Music allows for children to develop their language skills, cognitive understands and social abilities as they explore this wonderful tool with others. Music promotes children’s language through communicating, listening and singing, building on receptive and expressive language. Music is explored through instruments, sounds, various music genres and dance. Music inspires creativity and most of all, promotes fun!
